  • Examine individual and team risk perceptions and orientations, and how these impact decision-making.
  • Learn system thinking and organizational learning-based methods.
  • Transform your awareness and attention about the systems you operate in and are accountable for.
  • Gain clarity on the barriers to accomplishment of goals and objectives.
  • Strengthen communications and leadership skills.

The Team Workshops may be taken separately or in sequence.

Workshop #1: Post-2020 Risk Management

Organizational and EHSS risk management got more complex in 2020 from the pandemic, economic fallout from it, and social/political unrest. Risk profiles have been impacted in numerous ways, including from increased attention to “social” and “human” issues from that year’s events. The influence of these issues has been growing in the ESG (environment, social, and corporate governance) space as well; investors and regulators (SEC) have been increasing reporting requirements on them. This workshop engages participants in a detail examination of this changed landscape and highlights new risk drivers. The Institute’s Integrated Risk Management Framework is introduced along with skills needed to powerfully navigate in this new era.

Workshop #2: Risk Management Frameworks/Systems

This workshop teaches how to develop an integrated risk management framework that merges the ontological (awareness, perception, orientation, etc.) with the technical (system, frameworks, programs, etc). Upgrade-points are identified for existing systems/frameworks, such as ISO management systems, ISO 31000, and COSO’s ERM. Attention is given on how to develop “Social Leadership” skills that are essential in the post-2020 era. Metrics and indicators are offered that focus the risk profile’s new additions.

Workshop #3: Building and Sustaining Generative Risk Field and Culture of Health

This workshop teaches how to apply cutting-edge organizational field theories to organizational risk management. Participants identify their risk field elements, their interconnections, and ways information is carried between them. Individual and team risk orientations and perceptions are examined with an eye toward how these impact outcomes. Methods for evolving fields to a generative state are presented and practiced. Analytics and metrics for a Generative Risk Field are collectively developed.
